PHOTOS: Community Celebrates Arbor Day at Pantera Elementary

The event included tree planting and performances by students.

On Friday morning, students, parents, city officials, and members of the community gathered at Pantera Elementary School to celebrate Arbor Day.

The event was also a way to recognize the city’s 11th year as a Tree City U.S.A. community.

Students performed skits and songs, and later planted five 24-inch boxed trees that had been donated by West Coast Arborist.
