Los Angeles-based non-profit Serving Group hosts this contest in which kimchi cooks compete for an event title and serve up fresh kimchi to attendees.
In addition to the kimchi-making competition, the event will include a kimchi-making booth where everyone can try to make the ancient cuisine; a performance by a traditional Korean percussion group; and an exhibition of various dishes made with kimchi.
Those who wish to compete in the contest can register through the event's online form.
