“The library will increase in size almost 100 percent from 9,935 square-feet to 18,245 square-feet and offer ample parking, spacious reading areas, a new community meeting room, two group study rooms, teen center and children’s area,” library officials wrote. “The outdoor reading garden featuring a fountain, beautiful landscaping, comfortable seating and furniture was made possible in part by a very generous $80,000 donation by the Friends of the Diamond Bar Library.”

There will be separate adult and children’s sections featuring state-of-the-art technology, online computer terminals, free WiFi access for laptops and other mobile devices, officials said.
