Dixon Woman ID'd As I-80 Crash Victim

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – The Solano County coroner's office has identified a driver who died in a vehicle collision near Vacaville Thursday evening as Diane Bond, 59, of Dixon.

Bond was driving a Saturn Ion east on Interstate Highway 80 near Pena Adobe Road around 6:15 p.m. when an eastbound Toyota Camry struck the left side of her vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said.

The Saturn went off the right shoulder of Highway 80 and struck a tree.

Bond was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center. She died at 7:26 p.m., according to the coroner's office.

The CHP is investigating a report by the Camry driver that a Toyota Sequoia or 4Runner SUV drove into his lane forcing his Camry to strike the Saturn, CHP Officer David Harvey said. The Toyota SUV left the accident
scene, Harvey said.
