Taylor Foundation Helps Bring Back Recreation Fields at John Knight Middle School (independentvoice.com) — Athletic fields at Dixon's John Knight Middle School are being restored through a partnership between Dixon Unified School District and the J.A. Taylor Foundation, nearly 20 years after they fell out of regular use. The project, funded by donors and volunteers at no cost to the district, will refurbish baseball, softball, and open recreation areas for students and local youth groups through spring 2027, with opportunities for community support. 
• Dixon Fire Personnel Deploy to Monterey County Wildfires (independentvoice.com) — Dixon firefighters have been deployed as part of a Solano County strike team helping battle the Timber and Plaskett wildfires in Monterey County, working in steep terrain on structure protection and fire suppression. City officials are publicly recognizing the local crew's efforts and emphasizing how statewide mutual-aid agreements let Dixon support other communities during major emergencies while representing the city.
