
One person was killed in a shooting in Fairfield on Friday evening, police said today. Officers responded to a report of a shooting at about 5:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Oregon Street, about a block west of Lee Bell Park, police said.
Arriving officers found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police. She was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
Police have not released the victimβs identity as of early this morning.
