$1.4 Million Street Repairs Set To Begin Across Dublin
The months-long project will include sealing existing cracks, pavement repairs, new slurry seal and pavement markings.
DUBLIN, CA — Road work is set to begin across Dublin, with areas west of Village Parkway targeted first, as part of the city's annual Slurry Seal Project. The months-long maintenance work will include sealing existing cracks, pavement repairs, new slurry seal and pavement markings. American Asphalt Repair and Resurfacing Co. Inc. has been contracted by the city to do the work that is expected to wrap up in September.
During the work, residents and businesses can expect some street closures and parking restrictions, but the contractor will provide advance notice, according to the city. Residents who are planning to be out of town during scheduled work will need to park off affected streets to avoid being towed. The city’s estimated total construction cost for this project was between $1,200,000 and $1,500,000, and American Asphalt's bid came in at $1,392,000.
