11 Local Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members Honored In Dublin
Dublin created the annual street banner program to honor local veterans and active-duty members.
DUBLIN, CA — Eleven local veterans and active-duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces are being honored in Dublin as part of the city's annual street banner program. The banners depicting the honorees are being installed along Dougherty Road, between Scarlett Drive and Amador Valley Boulevard. They will be on display for 2019 between Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
The 2019 honorees are:
- Chief Petty Officer Kyle Chronister - U.S. Coast Guard
- Senior Master Sergeant Russell Downie - U.S. Air Force
- Sergeant Camille Edward - U.S. Army
- Master Sergeant Norbert James Felix - U.S. Marine Corps Veteran
- Staff Sergeant Joshua J. Jensen - U.S. Army
- Lieutenant Commander Terry Lane - U.S. Navy Veteran
- Sergeant Leann Nobida - U.S. Army Veteran
- Master Sergeant Josh Sevier - Army National Guard
- Specialist 4th Class Chris W. Smith - U.S. Army Veteran
- Lance Corporal Daniel Van Bonn - U.S. Marine Corps
- Captain Benjamin Young - U.S. Army
In early 2018, the city of Dublin created the annual street banner program to honor local veterans and active-duty members. (Click here to see who was honored last year.) Community members may sponsor an individual banner honoring a service member with a connection to Dublin (contact the city at 925-833-6650 for more information).
