Alameda County Firefighters Share Eerie Video of Soberanes Fire

The video montage highlights some of the dramatic moments on the fire lines.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — A strike team comprised of firefighters from several East Bay fire departments sent to help battle the Soberanes Fire recently shared an incredible video montage of some of the dramatic moments on the fire lines.

CalFire officials say the unrelenting blaze in Monterey County, which has burned 50,000 acres, was caused by an abandoned campfire. The massive brush fire broke out the morning of July 22.

Alameda County, Oakland, Fremont, Hayward, Albany, Piedmont, Livermore-Pleasanton and Moraga-Orinda have all sent equipment and firefighters to the fire lines.

This week, the East Bay firefighters have been assigned to protect the area surrounding the iconic bridge near Bixby Creek.
