2 77-Year-Olds Accused Of Killing Son-In-Law In Dublin

DUBLIN, CA — Two 77-year-old Dublin residents were arrested on suspicion of murdering their 40-year-old son-in-law on Saturday at the Dublin Sports Grounds, authorities said.

On Saturday, a Dublin officer driving near the Dublin Sports Grounds saw a man lying on the ground in the parking lot, according to the Dublin Police Services. At around the same time, police began receiving multiple 911 calls reporting the incident. Officers found a man now identified as Jonathan McKinsey, 40, of Dublin, in the middle of the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. McKinsey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thanks to help from witnesses, officers were able to locate and detain two suspects who had remained nearby. Shouyong Zhang, 77, and Shili Chen, 77, both of Dublin, were arrested on suspicion of murder and booked into Santa Rita Jail.

Police said there are no outstanding suspects and no known threat to public safety as of Sunday afternoon.
