New Years Resolutions and VoiceOvers

Hours away from the brand new year. I review my quarters for 2012 and see I have to push harder in the marketing. Voice Overs is so competitive and I hear from aspiring actors so often telling me they want to be the next movie trailor guy. I want to be the next movie trailor guy! It is wonderful to aspire for, but the reality is, Hollywoood is where one should be to get that gig. What is most important is to work the area I live in, and that s my new years resolution. To follow every lead I get and follow up on the leads. I want to book more this year than last year. I did book through my Agent for a regional radio ad...FASTRAK. It was so satisfying to hear the spot myself and hear from family and friends asking"was that your voice I heard on KFOG?" It was a wonderful year end accomplishment. My resoltuion has to be: be more aggresive...So I will push forward and continue to live my dream, I am so grateful to be doing a line of work I absolutely love! I am teaching 2 workshops in the Tri Valley on getting into Voice Overs in January, so I am off to a good start!
