Sailing Fearless on the San Francisco Bay A couple of Mondays ago I had the great privilege of sailing on the sailboat "Fearless" skippered by Stephan Sowash.

What a fantastic day it ended up being. It started out extremely foggy and Stephan waited until it was safe to venture out from his Precidio Yacht Club berth and sail out at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge. I had never sailed from there and what a treat it is to be out in the open water in a matter of minutes.

The first leg was to Angel Island where we stopped and he BBQ'd some lamb chops on his BBQ mounted on the back rail. Yummmm! He is know for having great food on his sailing charters and he did not disappoint. After lunch we headed out in the bay and ended up sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge and back to the harbor.

All in all, it was one of the best days I have ever had sailing and that is saying a lot! I have sailed on several different boats on the bay since 1981 and I really enjoyed Stephan's sailing knowledge and skill. His boat is rigged for hassle free and safe sailing and he definitely knows the trickiness of the bay's waters. He had a group of friends from the SF Opera and we had a blast. If you have never sailed or have and want a great charter boat then Stephan Sowash and Fearless should be your next sail.
