Candidate Forum Next Week For Alameda County Supervisor Seat

Dublin Mayor David Haubert and Fremont City Councilmember Vinnie Bacon will talk East Bay on Monday.

EAST BAY, CA — A virtual forum for candidates running to represent Alameda County as a District 1 Supervisor will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17.

Dublin Mayor David Haubert and Fremont City Councilmember Vinnie Bacon — the top two vote-getters in the primary — will discuss local issues at an event moderated by Pleasanton Weekly President and Publisher Gina Channell, according to an event flyer from co-sponsor Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce. There will be a viewer Q&A portion.

The District 1 seat encompasses Dublin, Fremont, Livermore and eastern, unincorporated Alameda County. Current Supervisor Scott Haggerty will retire after more than two decades of service to the region.
