Downtown Dublin Revamp? Council Wants More Stores, Less Parking
The council approved a vision for downtown that includes mixed-use buildings, more commercial space and more, Pleasanton Weekly reported.

DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin City Council unanimously approved last month a revised vision for the downtown area that calls for more store space, mixed-use developments and less parking, Pleasanton Weekly reported.
The council OK'd more store space in the retail and transit-oriented districts, which are bordered by I-580, Amador Plaza Road, Amador Valley Boulevard and San Ramon Road. Some additional retail district space lies west of San Ramon, north of Amador Valley and east of Amador Plaza, council documents show.
The third downtown Dublin District, Village Parkway, includes developments near Village Parkway.

The council voted to continue limits imposed by a downtown parking restriction pilot program first enacted from 2012 to 2014. The council approved continuing to allow parking limits per housing and hotel unit, and per every 1,000 square feet of office space, council documents show.
The council also voted to consolidate two residential pools into one residential pool for all the retail, transit-oriented and Village Parkway downtown districts.
