Dublin High School Teacher Wins Teacher of the Year 2012

The Alameda County Office of Education is proud to announce this year's winners of the celebrated Teacher of the Year Awards. 

The district winners will be honored and recognized for their achievements during an award ceremony on October 4, 2012 at the Castro Valley Center for the Arts. The Alameda County Teacher of the Year winner, and candidate for the state nomination, will also be announced during the event.

The event is open to the public; registration details will become available in July.

"I congratulate the 2012 honorees for their exceptional performance and work ethic," said Sheila Jordan, Superintendent of Alameda County Schools. "In the spirit of this year's theme, 'Awakening the Magic Within', I also want to recognize and thank all the faculty and staff who magically make the most of what they have with the limited resources available to them. Thank you for your creativity and resourcefulness."

This year's theme "Awakening the Magic Within" celebrates the inner resources that our teachers call upon to engage the diverse learning needs of our children.

This is the 23rd year that the Alameda County Office of Education recognizes and celebrates teachers throughout Alameda County for their excellence in classroom instruction. The honor and significance of the award will be throughout the 2012/2013 school year.
