Dublin Pedestrian Victim Identified
Police released the name of a 39-year-old woman who was killed after a car struck her on Dougherty Road Sunday night.
DUBLIN, CA — Dublin police Tuesday released the name of the victim of an alleged drunk driving incident Sunday.
The driver, Giovanni Fissore of Livermore, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
Roni Gage, 39, was walking in the southbound lanes of Dougherty Road just north of Dublin Boulevard at around 10 p.m. Sunday when she was hit by a Chevrolet SUV, police said.
Paramedics arrived and tried to perform life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead on the scene. Police say the driver remained on-scene.

“Dublin Police would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of Ms. Gage,” Dublin police said in a news release.
Fissore was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. Dublin police told KTVU that his child was in the car at the time of the incident.
