They are able shop for free at the thrift store for clothes for job interviews and school as well as items to furnish a new place to live after graduation. Proceeds from the thrift store directly support the women and children at Shepherd’s Gate by providing care, safety, education and encouragement as they rebuild their lives. Grainbakers offers one-of-a-kind whole-grain breadmaking classes and soft pretzel-making workshops. We are honored to be in a guest residency at Pans on Fire, the beloved Pleasanton cooking school. We are also well known for wholesome staff team builders hosted right at your office. Spent grain and brewer's barley are healthy whole grains recycled from the brewing process. Our 90-minute workshops are hosted at some of the country's best breweries, and they often sell out fast. Classes blend fun, relaxation, and the pride of saying "I made that." Whether you are brand new to breadmaking or a seasoned sourdough pro craving a fresh twist, you are welcome here. We especially love showing homebrewers how to transform that beautiful spent grain and brewer's barley into something extraordinary. Every workshop pairs you with friendly Teaching Assistants who guide you through mixing, shaping, and prepping your dough. You leave with oven-ready dough to bake fresh at home, plus recipes and tips to keep the magic going in your own kitchen. Dublin Education Center Opens Enrollment for Summer 2026 STEM, Robotics, and Academic Camps for Grades 1–12 GrowWise School brings small-group coding, AI, robotics, and math camps to Dublin Boulevard this June through August DUBLIN, CA — GrowWise School, a K–12 enrichment center at 4564 Dublin Blvd in Dublin, has opened enrollment for its 2026 summer camp programs. Weekly sessions run from June through August, with a maximum of 8 students per class. The lineup spans seven programs across three tracks: Academic Camps • Math Olympiad (AMC8/MOEMS) — competitive math training for students preparing for AMC8 and MOEMS competitions • Advanced Math (Algebra II + Precalculus) — accelerated coursework for students who want to get ahead before school starts AI &amp; Game Development Camps • AI Entrepreneur Studio — students use AI automation tools to build and pitch a real product by end of week, led by a founder • Scratch — introductory visual programming for younger students new to coding • Roblox — students learn Lua scripting and publish a playable game by Friday • Robotics Camp — a full-day engineering intensive where students design, build, and race a robot by end of week Creative Writing • Young Authors Camp — a full-day writing studio where students write and publish their own book by Friday "Every student leaves with something real — a published game, a working robot, a completed book," said Anshika Verma, founder of GrowWise. The La Leche League (Diablo Chapter) facilitates this free monthly support group at San Ramon Regional Medical Center for moms and their babies in the community. A new topic is discussed at each meeting. This group meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month between 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  Reservations are not required.

On May 30th, we’re hosting a Texas Hold’em Poker Night in Livermore — a relaxed evening where you can enjoy good food, great company, and a little friendly competition, all while helping dogs in need.

Join the St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s Brave the Shave – Summer Kickoff on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Emerald Glen Park in Dublin, CA.
This family-friendly community event brings people together to help conquer childhood cancer by raising money for lifesaving research through the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the world’s largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Participants can shave their head in solidarity with children battling cancer, donate hair to help create wigs for kids who have lost their hair during treatment, volunteer, fundraise, or simply come out to support the cause.
Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 children diagnosed will not survive. Brave the Shave gives the community an opportunity to make a bold and visible statement of support while helping fund research that gives children better treatments and better outcomes.
The event will feature: • Head-shaving stations • Hair donation opportunities • Family-friendly activities • Community fundraising • Before-and-after photo opportunities • Special appearances and photo opportunities with Vader’s 501st Stormtrooper Legion
