Dear Friend,

As Election Day approaches and our campaign enters its final stretch, I am grateful for the broad coalition of bipartisan support we have gained this last year.

As an Independent problem-solver, I have worked hard to listen and work with a variety of people, regardless of their political views. I’m proud that many people, with many viewpoints, are supporting me for County Supervisor.

I’m thrilled that retiring Supervisor Scott Haggerty, who has dedicated the last 24 years of his life to serving our community as our supervisor, has endorsed me, saying, “My friend, Mayor David Haubert, is the right choice to lead our county. He has the experience and problem-solving skills that we need to move us into the future. District 1 will be in good hands with David on the board.”

I am also grateful to have the support of Supervisor Nate Miley, another pillar of our community. Supervisor Miley said the choice was clear. “Mayor David Haubert has the vision and experience to lead Alameda County. I have watched the progress made under his leadership in the City of Dublin and I know he will be a champion for the working men and women of Alameda County. He has also demonstrated that he is sensitive to all residents in Alameda County. David will be a great addition to the Board of Supervisors.”

As COVID-19 and wildfires have continued to make a heavy impact on our community, our firefighters have supported us and put their lives on the line. I am proud that they trust me to lead our County. Alameda County Firefighters President Sean Burrows said, “Mayor Haubert has earned the trust of the working men and women of Alameda County. His dedication to firefighters and first responders is clear and we are proud to stand by him in this race. I know he will continue to fight for us on the Board of Supervisors.”

Every Mayor in the Tri-Valley area, and almost all Mayors in Alameda County support me for Supervisor. They know I will work to resolve problems like homelessness and traffic.

Many others have endorsed me, including State Senator Steve Glazer, former State Assemblymember Catharine Baker, Alameda County Sheriff Greg Ahern, former Alameda County Fire Chief David Rocha, Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters, Livermore Police Officers Association, Fremont Police Association, IBEW Local 595, LiUNA! Local 304, Teamsters Joint Council 7, Peace Officers Research Association of California (Bay Area Chapter), Alameda County Management Employees Association, Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Alameda County, the Pleasanton Weekly, and more. Alameda County is comprised of a variety of different groups and ideologies, adding to the richness and strength of our community. I have been humbled to serve you for the last 18 years. I hope I have earned your vote to serve you as your County Supervisor.

Sincerely,

Mayor David Haubert
