Local Orthodontist Collecting Candy, Donating Money
Dr. Dante Gonzales will donate three dollars to Smiles Change Lives for every pound of candy donated to his office.

For those stuck with too much candy from Halloween, help is on the way.
Dr. Dante Gonzalez, a Dublin-based orthodontist, is collecting that excess candy with a goal to raise money for Smiles Change Lives. For every pound of candy his office accumulates between now and Nov. 8, it will donate three dollars to the organization, which provides orthodontic treatment for kids from low-income familes.
"Dr. Gonzales is doing it differently (than most buy-back programs)," said Gaby Sandoval, the treatment and finacial coordinator for Gonzales' office. "We what we're doing is donating it."
