• 'Forever worried, forever scarred': Man gets suspended sentence in alleged Hayward home invasion sex assault (eastbaytimes.com) — A serious home-invasion burglary case tied to an alleged sexual assault was resolved in Dublin with a suspended two-year prison sentence and five years of probation for a 25-year-old defendant. The victim and her then-14-year-old daughter described lasting trauma and fear, while the court accepted a plea to simple burglary, dismissing the sexual assault component if probation terms are followed.
