I Have Got to Take This Call: Bank in Dublin Robbed By Man on Phone Monday Morning

A demand note was used, no weapon was seen and it looks like he was chatting with someone important. Do you know this man?

An unidentified man used a demand note to rob a teller at the Bank of America located at 4250 Dublin Blvd. this morning at about 11:06 a.m., Dublin Police Lieutenant Herb Walters said.

“The suspect entered the Bank of America, where he handed the bank teller a note demanding money and he told the teller he had a gun,” Walter said. “The teller handed the suspect an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.”

The man is caught on surveillance camera as he passed the note and appeared to be on the phone during the robbery.

According to Walters, the man fled the building on foot. He was last seen running northbound through the parking lot. Walters said no weapons were seen during the robbery and no one was injured during the incident.

Police officials say the suspect is described as a black male adult, about 35 years or older. He was 6 feet tall with a “neatly trimmed goatee.” He was wearing a dark-colored Seattle Seahawks baseball cap, a light green long sleeve shirt and light-colored jeans.
