Proud Salute To Academy-Bound Grads
Congressman McNerney honors area scholars selected for U.S. military academies.

Nine students -- six from Dublin, San Ramon and Danville -- were lauded at a Saturday reception by Congressman Jerry McNerney for their prestigious appointments to U.S. military academies.
The 2012 area high school graduates are headed to either the U.S Air Force Academy in Colorado, the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland, or U.S. Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut.
Military academies accept a tiny fraction of annual applicants, and nominations from such lawmakers as Rep. McNerney (D-Stockton) are key to admissions.
