Tri-Valley Rep. Swalwell Writes Book About Impeachment
His book, "Endgame: Inside the Impeachment of Donald J. Trump" is expected to launch April 7.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) seeks to take readers behind the scenes of the impeachment of President Donald J. Trump.
Swalwell's 256-page book, "Endgame: Inside the Impeachment of Donald J. Trump," is slotted for publication on April 7, said publisher Abrams Press in a press release. The book will include stories from the Democratic caucus, House Intelligence Committee and House Judiciary Committee.
Swalwell told the San Francisco Chronicle that the book started as a tribute to his father, but he soon saw parallels between their lives. His dad was a police officer standing up to a mayor and Swalwell a congressman standing up to the president, he said.

"(The book is) my inside account of America’s public servants stepping up and Congress taking action to rein in a president who put his own interests over national security and our elections’ integrity," said Swalwell, originally from Dublin, in the press release.
Audio rights to the book have been sold to Penguin Random House Audio, Abrams Press said.
