DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to join in celebrating a ribbon-cutting for the newly remodeled Valley Children’s Museum trailer at Emerald Glen Park . The event will take place from 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday and will feature speakers, free refreshments, a chance to play inside the newly remodeled museum trailer and engage in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) challenges.

In February 2018, Sandia National Laboratories donated a $25,000 grant to the museum for the purpose of updating the exhibit space and curriculum with engineering-themed activities. According to museum officials, the space is now more interactive for its young guests.

Valley Children’s Museum is a non-profit organization aimed at providing an educational advantage to children 10 year and under in the Tri-Valley and surrounding communities. In 2011 the organization opened the Emerald Glen Park mobile museum, and in 2017 it reached a Memorandum of Understanding with the city of Dublin for the development of a permanent Children’s Museum in Dublin Crossing Park.
