The Wave Water Park Celebrates Grand Opening Memorial Day Weekend

Dublin's massive new water park will celebrate its grand opening this weekend.

DUBLIN, CA — The Wave, Dublin's new 31,000 square-foot aquatic facility and water park, makes its debut to the East Bay community Memorial Day weekend during its official grand opening on May 27. Hundreds from all over Tri-Valley are expected to turn out for the holiday weekend.

The community was invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony and tour of The Wave, which is owned by the City of Dublin, on May 19. At the event, Dublin Mayor David Haubert said the water park is 20 years in the making and that much of the funding came from developer fees collected over many years.

The Wave uses almost 500,000 gallons of water and boasts six water slides, three pools and will offer a year-round swim program. Registration is now open for Summer 2017 classes. The water park will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
