Javiera, born in Acapulco, Mexico; born a creative soul, a Leo Rooster with a Scorpio Moon. Classically trained in piano and violin began exploring photography in the Mayan village of Tulum. She received the Grant of Excellence from Santa Monica College and was honored with a coveted mentorship program given to one student every 3 years.
Javiera founded the Artist Collective Cathexis, a collaborative group for artists and photographers, producing numerous exhibits throughout the city of Los Angeles.

Her new series CROWNS + VEILS, is a unique mixed media exploration of traditional photography, digital texturing, sanding, wood and resin. "Crowns + Veils is a photographic journey of humanities struggle between the ego and our true nature. Years of cultural conditioning and programming has coated our essence with a dirty residue, shielding our souls with rusty armor. Underneath it all we are naked:FLESH, BLOOD, BONES and HEART.
