• East Palo Alto launches major home-repair program (paloaltoonline.com) — East Palo Alto is rolling out $30,000 home-repair grants for up to 22 low-income homes, prioritizing below-market-rate properties and residents facing code issues they can't afford to fix. The city is using hotel tax revenue and partnering with local nonprofit Climate Resilient Communities to help residents weatherproof, repair roofs, upgrade HVAC, and tap into additional rebate and electrification programs. 
• Kevin Mullin requests $75M in San Mateo County water infrastructure funding (house.gov) — East Palo Alto could see major investment in its water system as Rep. Kevin Mullin's $75 million San Mateo County infrastructure package advances in Congress, including money for a new storage facility and pump upgrades in town. The broader proposal also funds flood, stormwater, and recycling projects from East Palo Alto to Redwood City to boost shoreline resilience.
