6 Residential Burglaries Reported In El Cerrito
In each case, the homes were ransacked by the criminals.

EL CERRITO, CA — The El Cerrito Police Department has released details of six residential burglaries were reported Dec. 18 through the 23rd. No arrests have been made public in any of the cases.
In each instance, the homes were ransacked, leaving residents with a mess to clean up, in addition to replacing broken windows and replacing stolen belongings.

- Residential Burglary – 2300 block of Carquinez Avenue: Between 1:18 pm and 7:06 pm, a residence on Carquinez Avenue was broken into through a basement window. The suspect ransacked the interior and stole property.
Dec. 20
- Residential Burglary – 500 block of Albemarle St: Between the hours of 8:10 am and 5:30 pm, an unknown suspect forced entry into the residence, ransacked the interior, and stole property.
- Residential Burglary – 7100 block of C Street: An officer reports between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00 pm, an unknown suspect shattered the rear door (glass), ransacked the interior, and stole property.
- Residential Burglary – 900 block of Liberty Street: Between the hours of 6:30 pm and 7:25 pm, an unknown suspect broke into the residence, ransacked the interior, and stole property.
- Residential Burglary– 1400 block of Navellier Street: An officer reports between the hours of 7:30 pm and 4:00 am, an unidentified suspect shattered the rear glass door and ransacked the second story while the homeowner was home and asleep in her bedroom (basement). No property was stolen.

- Residential Burglary – 300 block of Behrens St. An unknown suspect shattered the rear glass sliding door, entered the residence and ransacked the interior. The victim was not home at the time but was alerted by their alarm company at 7:56 am that their alarm had been activated. Witnesses saw a male adult walking away from the residence at the time the alarm was activated.
