East Bay Smoke, Haze Likely From North Bay Fires
Residents with respiratory issues are encouraged to stay indoors. Are you seeing smoke, El Cerrito?

Heavy smoke and haze in the East Bay is likely drift smoke from the large wildfires burning in the North Bay, according to fire and police officials. Residents from both Alameda and Contra Costa counties have reported seeing and smelling smoke in the area since early this morning.
Fire officials from multiple East Bay fire departments say no new fires have been reported today.
KPIX weather anchor Robert Gonzales said via Twitter that a shift in the weather pattern is causing the smoke to drift through the East Bay.
