EL CERRITO, CA — If you were anywhere around the BART stations in El Cerrito on Thursday you likely noticed an increased police presence.
The El Cerrito and BART police departments partnered to conduct enforcement operations at the Del Norte BART station, the El Cerrito Plaza BART station, and in and around the surrounding businesses of El Cerrito from 1 to 8 p.m.
The goal of the operation was to reduce crime and cut down on fare evasion.
