Sheriff's Office: Woman Died While in Custody at Contra Costa County Detention Facility
Officials say the woman died shortly after noon while she was in custody.

A woman in custody at a Contra Costa County detention facility in Richmond died this afternoon, according to a sheriff’s spokesman. The woman died shortly after noon while she was in custody at the West County Detention Facility, sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
Lee said more information regarding the details of the death would be released shortly.
