Authorities Name Suspects in Encinitas Jewelry Burglaries

BREAKING: Rob Scott and Heidi Doyle are wanted in connection with alleged break-ins at an antique consignment store.

ENCINITAS, CA — Two suspects were named Friday in recent jewelry burglaries from an Encinitas antique store. San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station asked for the public's help to locate Rob Scott, 53, and Heidi Doyle, 42.

The man and woman are wanted in connection with alleged burglaries Aug. 20 and Sept. 2 at Consignment Classics on S. El Camino Real. Investigators say $80,000 in jewelry was stolen during the thefts.

Earlier this week, authorities released surveillance images of a male suspect in the burglaries.

"New surveillance video shows a woman wearing a black jumpsuit casing the store the day of the second burglary," authorities said Friday.

Investigators believe Scott and Doyle may be traveling in a gold 2009 Volkswagen EOS with California license plate number 6YJB907.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station at 760-966-3500 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 888-580-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent in via www.sdcrimestoppers.org.
