3 Found Dead in Rancho Santa Fe Home in Possible Murder-Suicide [UPDATED]

The bodies of two women and a teenage girl were found when homicide detectives responded to the scene at around noon on Monday.

Rancho Santa Fe, CA — Two women and a teenage girl were found dead Monday at a home near Rancho Santa Fe Golf Course in a possible double murder-suicide.

Deputies responding to a report of possible child abuse at the upscale house in the 17100 block of Via de la Valle made the grim discovery around noon, according to San Diego County sheriff's officials.

After spotting one of the lifeless women through a kitchen window, the deputies forced entry and found the other two bodies in separate rooms, sheriff's Lt. Kenneth Nelson told reporters.

"We are still trying to determine a motive," the lieutenant told news crews. "We're still trying to determine a relationship."

Investigators were "fairly confident" there were "no other suspects outstanding in this case," he said.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of the deaths.

The decedents' names were withheld pending family notification.

In a separate investigation also under way nearby on Monday, a woman was found dead in a home at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course.
