Police Shoot Man in Encino While Serving Arrest Warrant
A suspect was shot on Yarmouth Avenue when Fontana police attempted to serve a drug-related arrest warrant.

A suspect was wounded today when Fontana police attempted to serve a drug-related warrant in Encino.
The officer-involved shooting occurred at 1:46 p.m. in the 5300 block of Yarmouth Avenue, according to Los Angeles police Officer Chris No. No officers were wounded.
The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was transported to a hospital, but a condition report was unavailable.

Martha Guzman-Hurtado of the Fontana Police Department had no details of his alleged crime, but said it was related to illegal narcotics.
Traffic was affected as police closed the street for the OIS investigation, which Guzman-Hurtado said the LAPD would be handling.
