
FALLBROOK, CA – Crews have fully contained a fire in Fallbrook, holding the blaze to roughly 12 acres.
The blaze, called the Vista Fire, sparked around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Via Del Lago area of Fallbrook, just north of the Santa Margarita River, according to Cal Fire. The fire burned in hilly open land in the far northern reaches of inland San Diego County. No structures were threatened.
Crews worked to contain the blaze overnight and throughout Wednesday. By Wednesday evening, the fire was 100 percent contained at 12.5 acres.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
