• More Than $180,000 in Grants Will Strengthen Connection Between People and Animals in Escondido (sdfoundation.org) — Escondido residents are set to benefit from $183,000 in new grants supporting veterinary care, animal-assisted therapy, pet adoption help, and wildlife education right here in town. Seven nonprofits, from spay/neuter services to therapeutic riding and Safari Park field trips for Escondido students, will expand programs aimed at keeping pets healthy, families supported, and kids connected to animals.
