Jose Neto - Neto comes from an elite musical legancy having worked with Harry Belafonte for thirty years and UK's Steve Winwood for twenty. His music with the band Fourth World with Brazilian jazz greats Airto Moreira and Flora Purim impacted the global jazz fusion scene. His own band, The Netoband, just returned from a UK tour. For this event, Neto performs solo, a rare treat. Neto is performing for the opening and closing of the International Film Festival - The Hague, this November. "The repertoire is unfailingly melodic/singable, the range of moods and textures and ways of ratcheting it all up and down quite mesmerising. It manages to be sophisticated, appealing and yet never over-clever or over-busy."— Seb Scotney, UK Jazz News www.joseneto.com
