Police say that three juveniles were hit while riding their bikes in unrelated collisions.

FOSTER CITY, CA – Three separate and unrelated bicycle collisions with vehicles Wednesday prompted Foster City police to remind residents of basic road safety practices.
The minor collisions, two of which occurred on Beach Park Boulevard and one on Flying Fish Street, involved three different juveniles riding their bikes to Bowditch Middle School. All three suffered only minor injuries, according to police.
Police did not provide details of the collisions, but sent out a statement reminding drivers and bike riders to be careful on the roads.

Drivers should be mindful of children walking and biking to and from school, and parents should remind children to ride their bikes in the direction of traffic, walk their bikes while crossing streets and to be extra careful when crossing driveways, police said.
Bike accidents involving vehicles are relatively rare in Foster City, which had 12 in 2015 and six last year, according to police.
