Dr. Eric Plasker Discusses Accidental 100 Year Olds
In a Foster City appearance Wednesday, best-selling author Eric Plasker stirred up an excited crowd telling them to better plan for a longer future

In an event sponsored by Dr. Rebecca Wilson, a Foster City chiropractor, and the Foster City Chamber of Commerce, best-selling author Dr. Eric Plasker emphasized that people will live longer than they think and should plan accordingly.
“Most of you will live to be 80, 90, or 100 years old whether you like it or not,” said Plasker to the enthusiastic crowd of over 100 people gathered at the Foster City Recreation Center.
As a result, Plasker claims, people must plan their health, finances and other plans accordingly. Plasker’s theory discussed in his recent book ‘The 100 Year Lifestyle’, discusses how many elderly people today are ill and lack energy because they did not plan their lives to live as long as they lived.

“We didn’t expect these people to live this long and neither did they,” he said discussing the current elderly population.
“What was once the greatest generation has now become the nursing home generation.”

Dr. Plasker, who serves as an advisor to Gold’s Gym and lectures throughout the country and abroad, believes the Baby Boomer generation and younger generations have the opportunity to better plan for their ‘extended life’ and live 100 healthy years.
“Many people start thinking in their 50s and 60s that they’re living on borrowed time and think it’s too late to start something new,” said Plasker
“How would that thinking change if they knew they would live to be 100?”
