5 Injured, 3 Critically in Head-On Fountain Valley Crash

Five people were injured -- three critically -- in a head-on crash involving two sedans in Fountain Valley tonight.

The crash at Edinger Avenue and Las Flores Street occurred about 10 p.m., said Fountain Valley Fire Department Capt. Nick Fasullo.

A motorist in a sedan, the lone occupant in his vehicle, suffered critical injuries. Two women in the other sedan also suffered critical injuries. Two other people in that vehicle were treated and released at the scene, Fasullo said.

Paramedics rushed the injured to UCI Medical Center, said Fountain Valley police Sgt. Kham Vang.
