Suspect Arrested in Failed Fountain Valley Convenience Store Robbery
A 22-year-old Huntington Beach man is suspected of attempting to rob an am/pm where the clerk wasn't in the mood to cooperate.

A 22-year-old Huntington Beach man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to rob a convenience store in Fountain Valley, police said today.
Christopher Hall was observed loitering near the am/pm convenience store at 8520 Warner Ave. early Sunday monring and was told to leave by employees, said Sgt. Ron Varner of the Fountain Valley Police Department.
Hall allegedly returned around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, brandished a knife with a six-inch blade, and demanded money from the store clerk. The clerk refused and Hall left without any property, Varner said.

As the officers arrived at the store, Hall was detained on Warner Avenue. He was in possession of a Smith & Wesson folding knife when he was arrested, Varner said.
Hall is being held at the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
