2 Alarm Fire in Fremont Displaces 4 People

Flames were seen leaping from the building when firefighters arrived.

Update:

FREMONT, CA - Four people were displaced and others were evacuated due to a two-alarm structure fire at a multi-family structure in Fremont Monday night, according to a fire chief.

The fire was reported in the 38500 block of Royal Ann Common at 8:51 p.m. The fire was extinguished by 9:30 p.m., Fremont Fire Division Chief Diane Hendry said.

No injuries were reported.

An investigator was at the scene of the fire as of 10:30 p.m., and it appears that the fire started in a bedroom, according to Hendry.
