FREMONT, CA — Two men were arrested in Fremont on suspicion of possession a concealed gun and for possession of marijuana for sale. Jefferson Sanchez, 18 and Alfredo Montoya Perez, 19, both Fremont residents, were booked into Santa Rita Jail.

Last Friday, police received a report about people drinking alcohol near a vehicle in the area of Boar Circle. Officers located a car illegally parked in front of a “No Trespassing” sign at the site.

"During the investigation," police said in a statement, "officers searched the vehicle and located several ounces of marijuana that was packaged for sale and a loaded, unserialized handgun with an extended magazine."

Sanchez is facing multiple charges related to the gun.
