Fremont Burglar Gained Entry Through Kid's Bedroom Window: Police

FREMONT, CA — Police say they're investigating a burglary where a suspect gained access to a Fremont home by climbing through a child's bedroom window.

Multiple children were inside the home at Village Common on Friday, July 25, when the suspect removed the screen from one of their bedroom windows and entered, according to the Fremont Police Department.

The children had no idea the burglar was inside, police said.

Only when their mother returned home from work later in the day did they realize the bedroom had been ransacked and several items were missing, police said.

Police did not say what items were missing. No suspect description was available.

The case remains under investigation, police said.
