The arrests stem from an attempted burglary and chase on Tuesday. Fremont police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques said that police received a call from a resident on the 36700 block of Marlowe Street reporting an attempted burglary around 10 a.m.

Bosques said the resident heard a knock on their door but didn't answer, only to see two men jump the fence into her backyard. The resident was able to scare the intruders away and then called police.

The suspects ran from the scene towards American High School, police said. Shortly after, a responding officer spotted a vehicle in the area that was reportedly seen near a burglary Monday on Farwell Drive. When the vehicle saw the marked police car, it sped off at a high rate of speed.

A short chase ensued and ended with the crash into a home on Isherwood Place. Two of the suspects were taken into custody at the scene of the crash. Another ran and jumped a few fences, but was caught a short time
later on Blair Place, police said.

Two other residential burglaries occurred in the same neighborhood Monday on Kipling Place and Hudson Place and detectives are looking into whether all four burglaries are connected, Bosques said.

All three suspects were booked into Santa Rita Jail.
