FREMONT, CA — Today's photo of the day comes from Fremont's Quarry Lakes, where Jeff Cast and his colorful macaw, Gunner, enjoyed the sight of random, yet "delightful" flower patches amongst picnic tables.

This appears to be a pink evening primrose, also known as "pinkladies," one of several wildflowers that grow near Quarry Lakes. A guide to flowers in the East Bay Regional Park District can be found here.

Thanks for sharing, Jeff and Gunner!
