Fremont Kidnapping and Ransom Call Was Scam
The caller claimed that the woman's sister had been kidnapped and demanded money.

FREMONT, CA - Police investigated a fake kidnapping and ransom phone scam in Fremont Monday afternoon.
At 12:18 p.m., a person in the 4100 block of Broadmoor Common notified police that an unknown caller claimed to have kidnapped the victim's sister and demanded money. Two officers responded and determined that the call had come from outside the country, according to police.
The victim called the sibling in question, who was alright.
