A man who died in a fatal crash in Fremont last week has been identified by the Alameda County coroner’s bureau as 46-year-old Miguel Languren of Fremont.
Police said they believe Languren may have suffered a medical emergency just before his car crashed into a wall at the intersection of Niles Boulevard and Kraftile Road at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said it appeared the vehicle was being driven erratically and at a high rate of speed just before the crash.

Investigators later learned Languren may have suffered a medical emergency while he was driving. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
A post on the crowdfunding website YouCaring to raise money for Languren’s family identified him as an employee at Fremont-based electrical distribution equipment manufacturer IEM.

“Miguel was a hard-working, kind, helpful individual, who was always willing to go the extra mile to get his job done,” IEM employees wrote in the post. “Miguel was a valued employee of IEM for nearly 10 years and contributed greatly to the success of the company throughout his employment. He will be dearly missed.”
Languren leaves behind a wife and young daughter, according to the YouCaring post, which had raised nearly $8,400 of its $10,000 goal as of this morning.
