Fremont Woman on Afternoon Neighborhood Walk Robbed
The victim struggled with the robber before he got away with her jewelry.

FREMONT, CA - A woman had a chain necklace stolen off of her neck while on a walk in Fremont last week, according to police.
Police said the victim was walking along Eggers Drive toward Hastings Street at about 2:35 p.m. Thursday when a suspect approached her and demanded her chain. After a brief struggle, the suspect ripped the chain off of the victim’s neck and fled to a waiting vehicle, police said.
The vehicle, described as a gray 2000 Honda Accord with possible tinted windows, was last seen turning north on Fremont Boulevard from Eggers Drive, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s who is 6 feet 2 inches tall with a slim build and was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, white shirt, dark pants and shoes.
