Homeowner Held At Gunpoint In Fremont Home Invasion Robbery
Police say two men ransacked the place and stole valuables, while a third man drove the getaway car.
FREMONT, CA — A Fremont homeowner was held at gunpoint Tuesday morning during a home invasion robbery. The victim was not hurt, but the thieves got away with cash and jewelry, according to Fremont Police.
The robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of Laurel Canyon Court. That's in the area of Durham Road and Paseo Padre Parkway.
In a Nixle release to the community, police said, "Two males with masks covering their faces entered the side garage door of the residence. Both males were armed with handguns and confronted the homeowner in the master bedroom. The suspects told the victim to lay on the floor and was not physically harmed. The two suspects ransacked the master bedroom and took jewelry and cash before entering a vehicle occupied by a third suspect. The vehicle fled the scene."

All three suspects are described as black men in their 20’s wearing track suits.
One angry resident responded to the Nixle post by saying, "If and when these men are caught will they be released after being booked? That is what has been done on at least two cases in Fremont. The message has been heard by the criminal community. The nonsense of our lawmakers is why more people are getting guns. When the law won’t protect the people, the people tend to take the law into their own hands."
